History – Hotel Victor in Miami South Beach
For seventy-five dazzling years, Hotel Victor has held a unique position on Ocean Drive.
By 1937, the year Hotel Victor debuted, cars had been crossing the causeway from Miami and rolling past beach for seventeen years.
The Victor was designed by Florida architect Lawrence Murray Dixon. Known as the “Dean of Deco,” Dixon’s work on the Victor reflected his classic art deco flourishes… clean lines, bold curves, and playful detail.
Interior architect and designer Yabu Pushelberg has insured that today’s Victor reflects the elegance of Dixon’s original.
Yabu Pushelberg also has designed the interiors for the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto and Tokyo.
Today, guests are never far from the hotel’s heritage, and always immersed in the essence of contemporary Miami Beach.
